Our love for sweet treats and passion for putting a smile on people’s faces turned a family dream into a reality when we started Tifa, named after a beloved uncle, in 2007. Beginning with retail online international chocolate tasting kits, we evolved to open our first dessert café the following year and never looked back. Since then, Tifa has added gelato, pastries and our own custom chocolates and expanded into several key markets in Southern California and other states (e.g. NC & AZ). We may be looking to come to your community next!

  • Food should be enjoyed. So, we made the best gelato and offered free samples for everyone to try.
  • Throughout history, people gather around the table. So, we put in plenty of comfortable tables and designed the customer area like the warm kitchen of a favorite aunt or grandmother (we all have someone like that).
  • People need to be a part of something. So, we put ourselves at the heart of the community by promoting through schools and charities.
  • Ice cream and yogurt shops are cold and uninviting. So, we did the opposite and put out chess, checkers and other games to play while enjoying dessert.
  • Frozen dessert shops often struggle in cold weather. So, we added bonbons, chocolate bars, espresso drinks and pastries to dampen the seasonal fluctuations.
  • Gelaterias and Chocolate shops are intimidating and cater to European tastes. So, we crafted “Americanized Gelato” and carry chocolate that caters to American tastes.
  • Food franchises are often seen as cold corporations. So, we created a franchise system that highlights you, as the owner, and makes you a part of your local community.
  • Restaurant gimmicks don’t last. So, we built a legacy brand and created a dessert cafe concept that’s timeless.
